Beautiful Tarai Blue, derived from Indigofera is brought to you from Northern India, Uttarakhand, grown in the lower planes south of Nepal. Farmed and created by Kinny ( Kiran) Sandhu and her team.
Kinny an artist started her Indigo journey 2018, when asked to supply Indigofera seed, as local resources had become scarce. Since, Kinny has been growing and making beautiful cakes of indigo, enriching her community and the land, growing this precious legume.
Indigofera offers a different shade of indigo to Persicaria Tinctoria Tarai Blue offers less indirubin, the red element of indigo, offering a dark cast of indigo.
Bailiwick Blue, offers Tarai Blue, in support of Kinny and her work force, the majority of whom are female and now have opportunity to earn a wage and support their families.
