We've? I've, taken the hard work out of the equation, separated petals from marigold flower heads and ground them into fairy dust ready for use.
Two reasons;
1. Pre ground dried marigold gives opportunity to create not just an overall pigment to dye your cloth or fiber, they also give you opportunity to create a textured finish or freckles on silk and wool.
2. Cleaner brighter marigold hues.
Steep in tea bag or piece of muslin for pot dyeing an over all colour.
Marigold will give all over earthy orange / yellow to pale orange / yellow pigment depending on the WOF ratio.
Perfect for protein and cellulose fibres. Colour will vary depending on pre or post mordant applied.
Use for pot dyeing, hot or cold, steam or solar eco printing.
