Indigo is versatile, though most prominently known for dyeing fabrics, yarns and threads, of cellulose (plant origin) and protein ( animal origin).

There are numerous ways in which to use this all natural plant pigment.

Indigo in the powdered form may be used as; a soap colourant, crafted into paint either oil or water colour, pastels, wood stain and can be used as colour for plaster finishes and of course dyeing fabric and yarn.

Qualities vary due to temperature, time of harvest, health of plants and soil etc.
